Hurricanes or other weather catastrophes, canceled airline flights, a car accident or breakdown, or a sudden illness could necessitate an unplanned change in your vacation schedule.
If you have read the UATB Terms of Use, then you are familiar with the following provisions:
- In the event that a resort or other accommodation becomes uninhabitable due to a natural disaster, we will not be liable for any resulting cancellations and no refund of any amounts paid by you will be made. If the accommodations which you confirmed become unavailable due to natural disaster, act of God, civil unrest or any other reason beyond our control, you waive any and all claims against us.
- If a Confirmation is cancelled sixty-one (61) days or more prior to the travel date, we will refund seventy percent (70%) of the total amount paid by you.
- If a Confirmation is cancelled between fifteen (15) and sixty (60) days prior to the travel date, we will refund fifty percent (50%) of the total amount paid by you.
- If a Confirmation is cancelled fourteen (14)
days or less prior to the travel date, no refund of any part of the
amount paid by you will be made
You have auto insurance, life insurance, medical
insurance, but have you seriously considered vacation insurance? Vacation
insurance can protect you against trip cancellation/interruption, travel
delay, baggage loss/delay, even rental car damage.
If your association offers vacation or travel insurance benefits, we
encourage you to take advantage of the protection these plans offer.
If you do not have this benefit available, type "travel insurance" into
any Internet search engine. There are many products available,
allowing you to customize your coverage to fit your specific needs.
You can compare coverage, prices, and select a policy that is underwritten
and backed by an insurance company you already know and trust.
